There are some plants that could fit into other families, but are in other families based on how they are played:.Any and all plants with multiple abilities, but including abilities that align with these families, are primarily affiliated with these families rather than any others. Conceal-mint and Enchant-mint are the only families that do not have plants with their properties overlapping in any other family. The Winter-mint and Enchant-mint families contain the least at 2 each. The Appease-mint family contains the most amount of plants gotten from adventure mode at 9.The Winter-mint and Conceal-mint families are the smallest at 10 members.

The Appease-mint, Contain-mint, and Enforce-mint are the largest plant families in the game, all at 16 members.Avoid using Power Mints when their families are ineffective, since not even a Power Mint will make the plant do any damage to the zombies at all, unless the plant is at Mastery level. With Buffz & Bruisez on, you can use Power Mints to boost the family that is currently having a strong buff. Boosting plants will increase their damage, toughness, sun-producing, and/or unique abilities to the plants' max level. Whenever you plant a Power Mint on the board, it'll do some damage or affect the zombies in some form, then boost the plants on the lawn that are members of the appropriate family.
